The school is proud to welcome a new student. He stands about four feet tall and about four feet wide, and is immortalized in metal. He never moves from his mount, and will forever embody BFND pride. He is the new bobcat statue.
Donated by 2011’s project prom he stands in the gym entrance.
“They received donations after it [project prom] was over,” AP Secretary Cathy Boyd said. “So they decided to give back to the school.”
Cy Fair hasn’t received a gift from a graduating class since 2003.
“I like how the school is putting effort towards the pride of Cy Fair and the new bobcat is a lot nicer than the last.” sophomore Katie Roach said.
The statue is poised in the foyer of the gym. Facing in toward the gym, it cheers on our team towards victory.
The class of 2011 thought it was a good idea, said co-president of the 2011 project prom Linda Carter.
“The students from the class of 2011 thought it would be a great idea to be able to leave a legacy piece that everyonefcould enjoy for years to come,” Carter said.
