Knights of The Behemoth
Ever since the release of Castle Crashers on August 27th, 2008 the game has gotten an astounding amount of plays due to it’s hilarious if not crass humor and the completely original gameplay. The Behemoth has made many great games with some of the same charms as Castle Crashers but certainly not all of them. So when the remastered version of the game came out for the switch I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to revisit one of my childhood classics. Let’s start with the controls. Most if not all of the time the controls are pretty tight and responsive; it also feels satisfying to control the knights. The combat in the game is also good, although you will probably just mash the heavy attack button until your enemy is defeated, the fighting is fun with all the interweaving of the magic, archery, and melee combat styles. The game doesn’t have much in the way of a story, but it does show a little bit of story in the cutscenes but it’s mostly just evil magician stole some weird crystal thing and the four princesses which you have to retrieve. The game has jokes littered everywhere in the levels and map, but the best one is in the thieves forest where a sound shakes the area causing an owl, a doe, and a bear to poop violently before falling off of a branch, floating away, or fainting. All in all this game has so much to offer in the ways of not only combat and “story,” but also in the ways of its amazing humor. All in all The Behemoth did a good job with this game.
Now that that’s all said and done. Welcome to my blog. Remasters & Replays. Till next time.
