How Early is Too Early?
When is it too early to start decorating for Christmas? When I see Christmas decorations the day after Halloween, I just think, “wow isn’t it too early”? In my opinion, decorating within a week after Halloween is way too early. For example, my family starts their holiday festivities in the third, or fourth week of November. While everyone is focused on Christmas, there is a holiday that seems like no one cares about, which is Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and friends, so why isn’t it celebrated more? In my opinion, people always skip Thanksgiving because there isn’t much you can do to decorate your home for it, except for maybe decorating the dining room table. The excitement for shopping, music, and food just cannot wait during the Christmas time. Including the start of the new year following right after Christmas.
