Samantha Blocker, junior, has worked with Cy-Fair’s Journalism department for going on three years, previously with the Bobcat Yearbook while currently on the online newspaper staff as Sports Editor. Samantha enjoys sports photography and writing. She strives to become a better photographer not only with sports but as well with student events. Outside the Journalism department, she is a second-year varsity letterman as a ladies basketball manager. When not working on homework or participating in extracurricular activities, Samantha horseback rides competitively for her stables Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team. She spends most of her time at Cedar Lane, the stables, practicing for competition or teaching younger children how to ride. After high school, she hopes to continue riding for a college while studying to get a degree in animal science before pursuing Vet school and later becoming an Equine Vet.
