Julius Kelly

Senior Julius Kelly found out he wanted to be a sports journalist when he was in his Earth and Space class his junior year. After finding out that becoming an astronaut wasn't a thing anymore he started to think elsewhere. So Julius asked himself, what does he truly like? What does he want to major in college? The answer was sports. Journalism to be more clear, where Julius can talk about sports. Julius knows he’s not going to be a professional athlete so the next best thing is to cover them. For now, in high school journalism he will cover 2nd semester sports: Basketball, Soccer, Tracks, Water Polo, and the best sport in the nation, Rugby. Julius has no extensive writing experience outside of mandatory English essays, but Julius is still open-minded and willing to learn what it takes to be a journalist. Julius Kelly will be looking forward to be part of Cy-Fair’s journalism team.

Fun Fact:

Julius was born in Las Vegas, Nevada.
